The first version of Nightmare Carnival (the same one used for the Halloween 2019 Event) had Halloween themes spread throughout the map. It was a night-time map though the map itself was brightly illuminated by the attractions. It appeared to take place in a graveyard with a visiting circus. Many background houses, caves, and gates were spread throughout the map. There was a drop tower ride, which was animated, with circus tents around the map. Pumpkins, windmills, lantern lights, and banners could be seen throughout the map.
